10 Design reveals details of NEOM's upcoming destination, Epicon

Designed by 10 Design, Epicon is NEOM’s latest luxury coastal tourism destination, including a residential offering. The destination will feature two striking towers, one 225 meters tall and one reaching 275 meters.

The hotel towers consist of 41 ultra-premium keys, including 14 suites and apartments for luxury residences. Epicon Resort, located nearby, offers 120 rooms and 45 exquisite residential beach villas that combine serenity with extravagance.

Some other well-known firms are also part of this project. These firms include 10 Design as the lead design architect, Buro Happold as the structure and MEP engineer, HCO as the architect of record, Aspect as the landscape designer, Space Agency as the signage and wayfinding designer, JLL as the cost management consultant, and Bergman as interior designer.

Leonard Milford, Senior Design Principal of 10 Design, said about the project, “When we think about science fiction, it is about the unexplored, about the future; there’s an unknown quantity to what comes next, and I think that’s a beautiful starting point. The Epicon Hotel is your doorway into the Gulf of Aqaba, embodying a sense of mystery, a threshold into something completely new.”

“That is out of this world. When you arrive, your first point of contact will be the hotel towers. You move into a series of small gardens, a small enclave of peace, quietness, and intimacy in the middle of the desert that you could not see from the outside.” and he added.

“Epicon, as an idea, was a kind of mirage in the first place. It was really about us fulfilling the unbelievable, which I think is one of the statement points of NEOM. We have an amazing opportunity with Epicon to make a difference, and the story starts now.” said Design Principal Alexey Golbraykh.

NEOM announced the addition of Siranna, Utamo, Aquellam, and Norlana in the Gulf of Aqaba.
