URBAN BLOOM: Daejeon Galleria Department Store By CA PLAN

Completed in December 2020, the URBAN BLOOM is a remodeling project of the Galleria Department Store, a landmark in Daejeon built in the 1990s. The project, designed by CA PLAN is located in Dunsan-dong, the central business district of Daejeon, which is surrounded with small and medium-scaled buildings with gray stones built during the rapid industrialization period. Dunsan-dong is the busiest downtown in Daejeon and a commercial center where many citizens visit.

Duringt the Toronto Visiting School students will study how patterns form in nature and evolve over time, often as a direct result of an optimum load path that over time defines the underlying structure of the system.

Parametric And Computational Design: Elevating Through Algorithms

Parametric architecture has been the trending term in the 21st century. Considered as one of the sought after solutions for futurist design problems, parametric design and computational methods have created a long-lasting impact on the design industry. Society has always looked towards nature for design inspiration and has sought to take inspiration from the naturally occurring forms through basic geometric shapes.
