The workshop is covering generative algorithms in Grasshopper3D and their applications in designing deployable and transformable structures.
Biomimicry is derived from the Greek word; Bio means life and mimicry means to imitate. Biomimicry Architecture; is often referred to as a unique and technical approach to mimicking nature in creating various designs in architecture. The structure inspired by nature can be strong yet sustainable since nature is a long-lasting system.
The venue is a temporary event space for the experimental performing arts of the Bavarian State Opera in Munich. Designed by COOP HIMMELB(L)AU, the disassembled structure can accommodate 300 seated or 700 standing spectators and can be transported to the next event location via shipping containers.
