Midjourney added a new editor to its Discord channel. This new editor, called ‘Vary Region,’ allow users the ability to choose and regenerate specific parts of an upscaled image.

After an image is upscaled at Midjourney, you can choose the “Vary Region” option. This option allows for regional variations in the image based on the content of the original image and the area that you select.

To begin, use the /image command to create an image. Once you have the image, proceed to upscale it. After the ‘Vary Region’ option appears, simply click on it to access the editing interface. To edit the image, select either the freehand or rectangular selection tools located in the lower-left corner of the Editor.

To send your request to Midjourney Bot, simply click on the Submit button. Once you’ve done that, you can close the Vary Region editor and go back to Discord. Your Job will be processed in the background, so you can continue with your other tasks without any interruptions.
