Vela and Vela Viento, designed by Foster + Partners, are two residential towers developed for OMNIYAT, a luxury real estate company located in Dubai Marasi Bay near Burj Khalifa. The structures’ names come from the Latin words ‘sails’ and ‘wind.’ The building’s language is similar to that of OMNIYAT’s The Lana residential towers located near this upcoming project.

Gerard Evenden, Head of Studio, Foster + Partners, said: “Vela, Vela Viento, and The Lana share a horizontal rhythm, an expressed structure, and voids in the massing, which makes them instantly recognizable. Together, they provide a range of generous outdoor spaces and play an integral role in the transformation of Dubai’s Marasi Bay.”

Vela is 150 meters high and has over 30 floors with an area of approximately 25,300 square meters. It contains penthouses and three four-bedroom properties, with double-height living spaces, large private terraces, and L-shaped corner pools.

Vela’s central penthouses comment on the south and north parts of the structure and provide views of Dubai Marina Bay, Burj Khalifa, and Downtown Dubai. These penthouses also have double-height spaces and private pools.

Vela Viento tower is 180 meters higher than Vela, has 41 floors, and has 92 residences ranging from around 185 sqm to 900 sqm. This structure also includes 3 bridge apartments that span across the towers. This tower also has penthouses similar to Vela’s, with terraces and private pools.

The lower tower is divided into two parts and connected by sky bridges. It has views of Burj Khalifa and Marasi Business Bay.
