Aldar Properties has launched a residential complex with a nature-inspired theme called Saadiyat Lagoons in one of Abu Dhabi’s most sought-after neighborhoods. The first phase of the development, which will be located on the eastern side of Saadiyat Island in Abu Dhabi, will have 207 villas and will occupy a 6.2 million square meter site that Aldar acquired earlier in 2022.

Designed by Landworks Studio in collaboration with Jacobs, the project will be next to Soul Beach and Saadiyat Grove in Mamsha Al Saadiyat. It is a part of Aldar’s bigger master plan for Saadiyat Island. The 6.2 million square meter plot of land Aldar bought in 2022 will house the neighborhood.

On November 3, 207 villas in the integrated development’s first phase will go on sale, with prices beginning at Dh6.1 million. There are three, five, and six-bedroom floor plans for the properties. Three zones have been identified in the community’s design, and each zone will have homes with unique architectural styles. The neighborhood will feature an eco-corniche, playgrounds, parks, an amphitheater, a dry deck water play area, a skate park, a paddle, basketball, volleyball courts, a climbing wall, and more.

In addition, there will be mosques, three Majalises, shops, restaurants, a health center, gas stations, a multipurpose event space, schools, and early learning facilities throughout the town for residents to utilize.

Every element of the development, including sustainable architecture, customizable house options, and facilities, has been thoughtfully prepared to meet the user’s evolving demands. When the community is finished, it aims to strengthen Saadiyat Island’s standing as a fully developed residential, cultural, and recreational destination.

Saadiyat Lagoons will include various sustainable design and construction techniques, both as a nod to the surrounding mangroves’ natural beauty and as part of Aldar’s long-standing commitment to sustainability. Among several other environmental initiatives, solar panels will be installed throughout the community to power the water heaters. Additionally, efficient water features will minimize water usage by around 50%. The goal for the entire community is to receive an Estidama pearl rating, with many components expected to receive more than two pearls.
