After years of anticipation, the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM), located beside the Pyramids of Giza, has partially opened to the public ahead of its full launch on July 3, 2025. With an estimated cost exceeding $1 billion and covering nearly 500,000 square meters, the Grand Egyptian Museum is set to become the world’s largest museum dedicated to a single civilization.
President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi has emphasized that the opening should reflect Egypt’s cultural significance without imposing financial burdens on the state.
