Introduction to AI-Driven Architectural Design 2.0:

This workshop is a sequel to the AI-Driven Architectural Design course, designed for participants who want to get a deeper understanding of the usage of AI tools in architectural design and stay up-to-date with the latest developments. This workshop will explore the best way of using these cutting-edge tools and integrating them into our daily design workflows.

This workshop expands on core principles and introduces new tools, techniques, and workflows. Participants will explore advanced strategies for seamlessly embedding AI into the architectural design process, from early ideation to visualization and presentation.

The Scope of AI-Driven Architectural Design 2.0:

This workshop will focus on workflow-oriented AI applications. Participants will push beyond image generation to tackle architectural rendering pipelines, live visual feedback loops, and animation workflows. The scope includes transforming 2D concepts into atmospheric visuals, processing 3D geometry into realistic renderings, producing CAD drawings from different visuals, and combining multiple tools for fluid, multi-stage design storytelling.

New updates in all the programs will be introduced, building on the visual foundations from the previous workshop. Assignments will be completed, and we will be able to see immediate results from the workshop insights.

This two-day workshop takes a practical and iterative approach. Each session will start with a short theoretical input and project examples, followed by live tool demonstrations.

Attendees will apply each technique directly within their design flow. The focus will be on hands-on experience with AI-powered visualization and animation tools.

Students will work individually but share results from their assignments, receive feedback, and participate in an open Q&A session.

Key Learning Topics:

  • Building on previous workflows: expanding creative prompting and editing
  • Improving the Midjourney image quality and specificity
  • Creating architectural visual narratives
  • Using ComfyUI for Rhino-based rendering pipelines

Software

Workshop Notes:

  • Please ensure you have all the software installed before the workshop starts. Software installation is NOT a part of the workshop.
  • Please ensure your system is compatible with ComfyUI and GPU-heavy workflows, or plan to work through cloud-based setups.

Don’t have a high-spec computer? No worries! You can use Pinokio for cloud-based computing or rent a powerful machine through RunPod (Check this guide) to ensure smooth performance during the workshop.

Instructor:

Ebrar Eke

Ebrar Eke is a Turkish architect and designer based in Vienna, currently working as a Design Architect and AI LAB Expert at Delugan Meissl Associated Architects (DMAA). She leads the integration of AI-informed methodologies into architectural workflows, merging computational intelligence with innovative design strategies.

She holds a Master of Architecture degree from Studio Greg Lynn at die Angewandte, where her diploma project “Text-to-Architecture” explored the use of generative AI in architectural design. As the founder of Al.Architecture Studio, Ebrar collaborates with international clients to deliver AI-driven, project-specific design solutions.

Ebrar has taught at IAAC Barcelona as a teaching assistant in the MaCAD program’s AI in Architecture Studio and has gained professional experience across Austria, Germany, the Netherlands, and Turkey. Her work—specializing in generative, digital, and computational design—has been featured in international exhibitions and publications. Her ongoing research investigates experimental design techniques with AI, emphasizing her commitment to pushing the boundaries of architectural innovation.
