SpaceX has launched the highly anticipated Starlink Mini satellite internet in the US.
Starlink Mini has a compact design that fits easily into a backpack. This internet kit is much smaller and consumes less power than previous Starlink kits. It can also be directly powered by a 100W USB-PD power bank. One of the best things about it is that this high-speed internet will be available worldwide for use at home or on the go.
Originally available only as an add-on for existing residential subscribers in the US, it starts at $599. For use, simply put it in by SpaceX in two easy steps — “plug it in” and “point at the sky.”
According to the announcement, there are two main usage options. Regional service costs $150 monthly for unlimited portable data in North America. Mini Roam service is just $50 monthly for portable or on-the-go data usage. However, this service model will have a 50 GB limit. You still have to pay per GB if you want to use extra data.
No information about when the device will come to Europe has yet been shared.
