Applications for the PA Editorial Fellowship 2024

The PA Editorial Fellowship aims to encourage new editors and writers to contribute to the field of architecture and design. We want to ensure that diverse voices from different backgrounds have visibility in this field.

The 3-month program, which will take place between 17 August- 23 November 2024, will provide training in writing about architecture and design, digital publishing, blogging, research methods, and the impact of emerging technologies on digital publishing. PA Editorial Fellows will have the opportunity to observe, create, and receive feedback on content production processes with the PA Editorial Team. Their responsibilities include writing regular articles on specific topics and participating in trainings.

The application will open until August 10, 2024.

Main sessions of the program:

Session 1: Introduction
Session 2: Research Methods and Source Evaluation
Session 3: Digital Publishing
Session 4: Writing Techniques and Article Planning
Session 5: Emerging Technologies in Blogging
Session 6: Feedback and Future Directions

What you will get?

  • Experience in working collaboratively with the editorial team.
  • You will learn how to write an article on architecture and design, how to plan an outline for your article, and which tools you can use during that process.
  • Experience with developmental and conceptual editing, copy editing, permissions, design, publicity, and social media.
  • The training will take place on weekends.
  • After 5 article submissions, the Fellow will receive access to PAACADEMY’s member-only workshops.
  • An in-depth understanding of the publication process that can be applied to future jobs and projects.
  • Certificates.

What we’re looking for

  • Experience in editorial work is preferred but not required. We aim to help aspiring writers and editors learn more about architecture and design-based content publication.
  • The Fellow must feel confident working independently.
  • Applicants do not need to have an editorial project to apply.
  • Applicants can from all around the world but must be able to attend scheduled Zoom meetings; we are mainly using Greenwich Mean Time (UK).

To apply, fill out the form below. Accepted candidates will be contacted, and the introduction session will occur on August 17, 2024.
