Yuga Labs collaborates with Gucci for a new metaverse project

Fashion house Gucci and blockchain technology company Yuga Labs aim to explore the crossing of entertainment and fashion in the metaverse.

Gucci tweeted this collaboration on Mar 27, 2023, “Continuing to explore the Metaverse, the House comes together with @yugalabs. Stay tuned as a new narrative takes shape, blurring the boundaries between the physical and digital.”

There aren’t many details but according to Business of Fashion, these two companies signed a year-long partnership that will involve Gucci creating clothing for Yuga Labs’s metaverse project.

“We are excited to unveil this multifaceted partnership with Yuga Labs, a leader, and creative pioneer in web3,” Robert Triefus, Gucci’s senior executive vice president, of corporate and brand strategy, and chief executive of Gucci Vault & Metaverse Ventures, said in a statement to BoF. “This will give us an active role in Otherside and 10KTF’s continuing narrative, unfolding in multiple forms.”
