The International Architecture Exhibition of la Biennale di Venezia will host its visitors between 10 May and 23 November next year. IKSV, which coordinates the Turkiye Pavilion at the biennial, is holding a two-stage open call to determine the project that will participate in the exhibition.

Applications for the Turkiye Pavilion are expected to present a consistent curatorial narrative that can open up current issues in the field of architecture to discussion at local, regional, and global dimensions through new concepts and examine architectural ideas with interdisciplinary approaches.

In addition to a strong visual expression of the project to be included in the exhibition, the theme must also be understandable and accessible. The call is also open to the participation of multinational teams, including a team leader from Turkiye.

The 19th International Architecture Exhibition will be about the built environment and the many disciplines that shape it. Architecture is at the center but not alone. It is part of an extended sphere that integrates art, engineering, biology, data science, social and political sciences, planetary systems sciences, and other disciplines – linking each and all of them to the materiality of urban space.
