The Parco della Repubblica, a public park north of Sirolo’s ancient city center, is set to undergo renovations by ecoLogicStudio. The new initiative seeks to create a park that benefits both people and animals in harmony.

The project will include six major layers, or “dimensions,” occupying an area of around 2 ha: urban, social and collective, playful and well-being, cultural and educational, ecological, territorial, and eco-touristic.

Claudia Pasquero and Marco Poletto, founders of ecoLogicStudio, state: “Our design attempts to elevate the cultural relevance of the public park as a portal toward another dimension, one where humans and wildlife share a more hopeful future of symbiotic collaboration.”

Pedestrianization and Accessibility

In order to complete a pedestrian loop connecting it to the old city center, the park proposes to pedestrianize the access road. Numerous socio-cultural events will take place in the park in a repositionable space. A core park area dedicated to biodiversity will be encircled by a circuit for children’s cycling, running, and active walking.

This is interspersed with a network of recently installed outdoor furniture that incorporates integrated wildflower gardens to encourage direct interaction between locals and eco-tourists regarding the site’s revitalized ecological aspect. ecoLogicStudio rehabilitation project is a shining example of innovative design that promotes peaceful cohabitation between urban life and the natural environment.
