We had an interview with Studio Other Spaces co-founder Sebastian Behmann, we discussed “Spatial Solidarities” and the motivations that shaped their most recent exhibition in Flims.
Studio Other Spaces (SOS), under the direction of architect Sebastian Behmann and artist Olafur Eliasson, presents their third exhibition, Raumliche Solidaritäten (Spatial Solidarities).
Pavilions are compact and often standalone structures that refine the design to its essence. Usually, pavilions showcase innovative concepts, materials, and building methods.
Common Sky, a canopy of glass and mirrors enveloping the courtyard of the Seymour H. Knox Building, is designed by Studio Other Spaces (SOS), led by artist Olafur Eliasson and architect Sebastian Behmann.
Olafur Eliasson’s diverse solo exhibitions, which include installations, paintings, sculptures, photography, and film, have been shown in major institutions across the world since 1997.
Designed by Olafur Eliasson and Sebastian Behmann’s Studio Other Space, the Vertical Panorama Pavilion is inspired by the history of circular calendars and made from 832 colored glass panels for the winery, The Donum Estate.
Fjordenhus is the first building of Icelandic–Danish artist, known for sculpture and large-scale installation art, Olafur Eliasson.
