Introduction to Architecture in Motion: AI Cinematic Workflows:

This workshop introduces practical workflows for using AI as a personal architectural visualization assistant to develop architectural hero images from scratch and explore how these images can be extended into short cinematic sequences using AI.

Students will learn to build and train their own customized GPT based on their design goals, visual language, and workflow. They will then learn how to use AI image-generation workflows to transform sketches, models, and screenshots into cinematic architectural hero images based on the project’s story and concept.

After the workshop, students won’t just have ready-to-use workflows. They will learn how to build and train their own workflows from scratch.

Students will learn the principles and skills behind these workflows, allowing them to use their own creativity to adapt, experiment, and develop new workflows that fit their own needs, language, and creative style.

The goal is not simply to use a workflow, but to learn how to create and evolve workflows independently.

Methodology:

The workshop focuses on contemporary architectural visualization, with an emphasis on residential, hospitality, conceptual architecture, and urban projects.

Students will work with a range of inputs, including 3D screenshots, sketches, massing studies, and existing architectural images, and learn how to turn them into cinematic hero shots while maintaining the original architectural intent.

The workshop is based on a simple, repeatable workflow:

Define → Build → Direct → Generate → Iterate → Refine

Students will:

  • Build a personalized trainable GPT for their own architectural workflow.
  • Learn how to describe architecture, atmosphere, materials, lighting, and composition effectively.
  • Develop essential prompting frameworks for architectural image generation.
  • Transform 3D model screenshots and sketches into cinematic hero images.
  • Control camera angle, composition, materials, lighting, landscape, and atmosphere.
  • Learn image-to-image, text-to-image, and reference-based workflows for greater visual consistency.
  • Refine and present final images using AI and post-production tools.
  • Explore a simple workflow for transforming a final hero image into a short cinematic sequence.

Key Learning Topics:

  • Build a personalized AI workflow for architectural visualization.
  • Create effective prompts for architectural image generation.
  • Transform 3D models and sketches into cinematic hero images.
  • Refine and direct AI-generated visuals while preserving design intent.

Program:

  • AI Visualization System: Build a personalized GPT and establish your visual workflow.
  • Prompting & Direction: Learn how to communicate architecture, composition, materials, lighting, and atmosphere.
  • Hero Image Generation: Transform sketches and 3D screenshots into cinematic architectural visuals.
  • Iteration & Refinement: Develop variations, improve realism, and maintain architectural consistency.
  • Final Hero Shot & AI Film: Complete a final architectural hero image and briefly explore AI-generated cinematic video.

Software:

Workshop Notes:

  • Software Installation is NOT a part of the workshop! Students must have all the software installed before starting the workshop.
  • Basic knowledge of AI is required.
