Introduction to AI for Architectural Competitions: From Brief to Submission:

This one-day intensive workshop introduces participants to a complete AI-assisted workflow for developing an architectural competition entry, from the initial idea to the final submission.

Across six continuous hours, participants will select a competition brief, analyze its requirements, generate concept directions, develop architectural narratives, produce visual studies, refine design outputs, assemble presentation boards, and prepare a submission-ready package using available AI platforms and design tools.

The workshop is designed for all levels, from students and young designers to practicing architects who want to understand how AI can support concept design, visual exploration, storytelling, representation, and competition strategy.

The focus is not only on producing attractive images, but on building a coherent competition proposal with a strong concept, clear design logic, compelling visuals, and a professional final board.

Methodology:

By the end of the workshop, participants will understand how to use AI as a design partner throughout the full competition cycle:

Brief → Research → Concept → Design Development → Visualization → Board Composition → Final Submission

Participants will learn how to move beyond random image generation and use AI strategically to produce a complete, coherent, and submission-oriented architectural entry.

The workshop will guide participants from the earliest stage of understanding a competition brief to developing a concept, generating visual explorations, refining design logic, creating diagrams, writing project narratives, and assembling a submission-ready board.

Instead of treating AI as a random image generator, the workshop focuses on using AI as a structured design assistant — helping with research, ideation, storytelling, visual direction, critique, and presentation.

Participants will learn how to combine architectural thinking with AI platforms to produce stronger, faster, and more coherent competition proposals.

The session is open to all levels and is especially suitable for students, young architects, designers, and professionals interested in integrating AI into their design process.

The workshop is suitable for:
  • Architecture students
  • Fresh graduates
  • Junior architects
  • Designers interested in competitions
  • Architects exploring AI workflows
  • Anyone interested in concept design, visual storytelling, and architectural representation

No advanced AI experience is required.
