Víctor Imperiale Calisto – gt2p Studio

Víctor Imperiale Calisto is a Chilean architect and designer and a founding member of gt2P (Great Things to People), a Santiago-based studio acclaimed for merging parametric design with traditional craftsmanship. The studio creates innovative works that reflect Chile’s cultural heritage and natural landscapes. gt2P’s creations are part of prestigious international exhibitions and collections, including the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Design Museum London. Represented by Friedman Benda Gallery, the studio is a leader in exploring the intersection of digital technology and artisanal techniques in contemporary design.

José Antonio Carrillo

Jose Carrillo is an Architect, Computational Food Designer, and Associate Professor of Architecture at the American University in Dubai (AUD). He holds a Master’s in Sustainable Architecture and Urban Planning, a Master of Architecture (M.Arch.), a Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch.), and a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) in Building Engineering, all from the University of Alicante, Spain.

As a researcher, Jose is pursuing a PhD in artificial intelligence, computational design, and digital fabrication, focusing on the intersection of architecture and gastronomy. He serves as a member of the editorial committee for the UOU Scientific Journal of Architecture and was the editor of its fourth issue, Gastrotecture, on his doctoral research.

Jose collaborates with scientists, chefs, and brands on multi-scale projects that range from architectural interventions and interior design to gastronomic experiences and food innovation. As an educator, he founded and has directed @archEatable since 2018, an interdisciplinary university project dedicated to teaching digital design and fabrication techniques adapted from architecture to gastronomy. Jose’s innovative teaching approach has been recognized with awards such as the AUD Provost’s Award for Innovation in Teaching and the President’s Award for Teaching Excellence.

He has conducted numerous workshops and trainings on Rhinoceros, Grasshopper, and Computational Food Design. He has also been a visiting professor at the European University of Madrid, IUAV University of Venice, and the Basque Culinary Center in San Sebastián.

As a speaker, Jose has contributed to conferences and forums such as Foodture Barcelona, GastroInnova Canarias, the Food Design Festival Madrid, and eFood. His work has been exhibited at international architecture and art fairs, including the Venice Architecture Biennale, Art Dubai, and the Sikka Art and Design Festival.

Ila Colombo

Ila is an award-winning AI collaborator, artist, and creative director with over a decade of experience in the avant-garde world of Design, Art, Architecture, and Technology. Her unique perspective combines spatial computing, 3D printing, design-art installations, and conceptual works, pushing the boundaries of design
innovation.

With a passion for sustainable practices and algorithmic and biomorphic design, Ila has made her mark at the leading design studio of British designer Ross Lovegrove. There, she offers design thinking, craft-tech development, and creative direction for projects related to commercial objects, speculative experimental works, AIiterations, brand partnerships, and international exhibitions.

Her current research on both the practical and philosophical impacts of generative AI within the creative industries involves multi-modal workflows, team training, student education, and ethical considerations. Ila co-founded DEOND, a Dubai-based multidisciplinary AI, R&D & 3DPA practice that merges human-centric creativity with advanced computation and digital fabrication. Ila is a member of the RIBA and an appointed member of the Architecture Program Advisory Board at the American University in Dubai (AUD). She recently contributed to the landmark report on ‘AI for Creative Industries’ by the Dubai Future Foundation and Centre for the Fourth Industrial Revolution, highlighting fundamental principles, insights, and guidelines for the technology.

Olivia Nielsen

Olivia Nielsen is a Principal at Miyamoto International where she focuses on resilient housing solutions.
From post-disaster Haiti to Papua New Guinea, she has developed and worked on critical housing programs in over 45 countries.

Olivia has over a decade of experience in housing finance, housing public-private partnerships, post-disaster reconstruction, and green construction. Through her work, she hopes to make safe and affordable housing available to all.

Through collaborative efforts and strategic planning, Olivia is dedicated to shaping urban landscapes that balance thriving communities with their natural environments, ensuring equitable and forward-thinking urban growth.

Florian Markus

Florian Markus is a licensed architect based in HaarlemNetherlands. His innovative work lies at the intersection of art and architecture. He is dedicated to exploring and challenging the boundaries of digital fabrication technologies to craft the artistry of the future. Focusing on integrating traditional craftsmanship with cutting-edge tools, Florian’s designs reflect a unique fusion of creativity and technical expertise, offering a fresh perspective on contemporary architecture and design.

Drawing inspiration from the dynamic interplay between human ingenuity and technological advancement, Florian strives to push the limits of what is possible in digital fabrication. His projects embody a forward-thinking approach, showcasing how technology can be harnessed to redefine craftsmanship for the modern era.
