Stella at Star Metals, the third building designed by the renowned Oppenheim Architecture, in Atlanta’s Star Metal District. The building will rise east of the Star Metals Offices, adjacent to the planned hotel, and west of the Northside Drive. According to Chad Oppenheim (Founding Principal), Stella emphasizes an exploration of how architecture could reflect a space.
For those interested in Chad Oppenheim’s architectural philosophy, PAACADEMY will host an upcoming lecture titled “Rethinking Architecture”, where Oppenheim will share insights into his design process and vision.

The striking 22-story architecture situated in West Midtown, Stella continues the firm’s long-standing contribution to shaping the once-industrial neighborhood into a vibrant residential district. The building is designed to house 327 residences, from penthouses to studios, retail spaces, and interiors designed by Square Feet Studio.

The characteristic luminous copper cladding wraps the entire façade of the building, creating a warm and sculptural landmark in the Star Metal district. The grid-like rhythmic pattern and design of the characteristic copper cladding and windows respect the site’s history and context.

The local context and community needs are the primary aims of the project, reflecting an architecture that resonates with the space. The building’s design features recessed corners at the street level, creating a dramatic 52-storey entrance with a multi-level lobby into the building.

The luxury residential building offers a wide range of amenities within the building, including a rooftop pool, a sky lounge with a movie theater, panoramic views of downtown Atlanta, fitness facilities, and landscaped terraces.

The design features prominent green architectural elements with a series of rolling green roofs at every level of the apartments. Oppenheim brings a high level of landscape setting, a benchmark for future developments in the locality.
