The $8.2 billion development in Dubai’s Meydan district synthesizes automotive design philosophy with the practicalities of vertical urbanism. The Mercedes-Benz Places Binghatti City project announcement marks a collaboration between the Emirati developer and the German luxury automaker.

Mercedes-Benz and Binghatti Partnership

The luxurious high-rise apartments, spanning 10 million square feet of built-up area in the Nad Al Sheba district, reach a height of 341 meters and target the ultra-high-net-worth segment. The 65-story supertall residential skyscraper integrates the automotive industry, which leads the real estate sector in design philosophy and technological advancement.  Developed in Dubai’s most prestigious commercial hub, the design is envisioned as a city within a city, where residential life is seamlessly integrated with wellness, retail, and mobility.

The Masterplan: A Twelve-Tower Ecosystem in Nad Al Sheba

Conceptualized on the philosophy of sensual purity, the design seeks to navigate the polarity between intelligence and emotion. The architectural language is manifested in a fluid, sculptural form that redefines traditional skyscraper designs. The supertall tower’s design is inspired by the aerodynamic silhouettes of modern concept vehicles such as the Vision EQXX and the Concept CLA Class.

The composition features a series of 11 satellite towers that decrease in height as they radiate away from the Vision Iconic anchor in a staggered, horseshoe-shaped arrangement. The facades of the towers incorporate automotive cues such as the manufacturer’s signature grille, while silver and chrome accents ensure the structures maintain a metallic sheen reminiscent of the Stuttgart assembly line.

  • Vision One-Eleven: A tribute to the experimental C111, representing the cutting edge of electric performance.
  • Vision Mercedes Simplex: A nod to the brand’s historic heritage and the birth of the modern automobile.
  • Vision Mercedes-Maybach 6: Symbolizing the ultimate expression of ultra-luxury and classic proportions.
  • Vision AVTR: Inspired by the organic, biomimetic design language of the Avatar film collaboration.

The interior features the tactile warmth of wood and leather, mirroring the experience of the S-Class or Maybach Sedan. The residences reflect a commitment to holistic living, with ceilings rising to 4.2 meters, and every unit featuring a private swimming pool on its balcony. Each tower is named after an iconic Mercedes-Benz concept vehicle, showcasing the brand’s design evolution.

Sustainable Infrastructure

The envelope features Building-Integrated Photovoltaics (BIPV), developed in collaboration with Mitrex. It reflects a commitment to luxury and high-performance engineering. The facade is an active power generator, integrated into the cladding, railing, and glass surfaces of the tower. These panels utilize a sturdy aluminum honeycomb core and high-performance solar cells that generate up to 18 W/ft² of clean energy.

The masterplan focuses on intelligent mobility, featuring hubs and autonomous shuttle services supported by smart parking solutions and EV charging. It also includes the Grand Promenade, a landscaped park featuring water elements, shaded groves, and art pavilions. The complex also includes 12 sporting clubs, one for each tower, offering a variety of aquatic activities, wellness zones, and community spaces.

The project has recently broken ground, with a construction program designed to be delivered in three distinct phases. The Mercedes-Benz Places Binghatti City demonstrates not just a housing development, but a future-ready place designed for sustainable, intelligent urban living.
