Atyrau Bridge

The curvy design form and facade refer to the symbol of the Atyrau region’s unique endemic–Caspian Sturgeon. Composed with parametric and computational tools, two and half thousand individual facade pieces of its shell weave the shelter of the public space and give a sense of place. The Atyrau Bridge truly stands as one of the prime tourist destinations. People gather to dwell in its alluring exposition, cherish love, get together and bring their guests to visit the gleaming glamour.

As an essential feature, the Atyrau Bridge holds the sturgeon bronze sculpture installed in the middle of the bridge as a keeper of the place. Tourists waltz about it and love to rub the statue’s nose, believed as a tradition that promises you good luck. They presented the Atyrau Bridge as a gift from the Atyrau Region to the capital city on its 20th anniversary.

The Atyrau Bridge invokes a dramatic expression as you take a stroll through its evolving facade panels. The design comprehends a wavy flow as the sea wanders in ripples and echoes through the voids and into the bridge walkway.
