The project is called Ex-play-ment, and it is a competition organized by Bamboo U. The project is a bamboo playground located in Bali, Indonesia.

It is a structure designed to provide a magical space for children to explore and play. The playground features a large organic canopy that provides shade from the sun and protection from heavy rains. The structure is built to scale for children and features multiple levels connected by a cocoon-like woven grid shell bamboo structure.

Ex-play-ment

“A large organic canopy that lies over the entire program to provide adequate shading from the intense sun and protection from the heavy rains creates a sheltered microcosm that adopts the kid’s scale.” said Sophia Michopoulou

hildren can climb, slide, and explore through the rounded openings that blur the boundary between internal and external space. The lower level features a staircase, while the upper level has a helix slide. A playground is a place where children can let their imaginations run wild and experience the wonder of nature around them.
