The Ulmer Münster, the world’s tallest church since 1890, is set to lose its title to Barcelona’s La Sagrada Familia, which is expected to surpass it in height upon completion in 2026.
The four main towers of La Basilica de la Sagrada Familia, Gaudi’s magnificent basilica church and a symbol of Barcelona, are finally complete after 141 years of labor.
Sagrada Familia and Park Güell are landmarks for the locals in Barcelona and are highly valued by the local government, perhaps still amazed by the unfinishedness of the Sagrada Familia; his buildings are incentives to many tourists arriving and architects and architecture students regularly study their composition and form.
Antoni Gaudi was an architect who changed the face of architecture and is considered the pioneer of Art Nouveau or Catalan Modernist architecture style. The masterpieces designed by Gaudi are an inspiration to every architect or individual in the design.
