Sun Cosmo Residence in Da Nang designed with inspiration from traditional sedge weaving

Sun Cosmo Residence Da Nang, designed by Aedas, is a luxury development situated in the city of Da Nang, Vietnam, which is well-known for its stunning beaches, scenic landscapes, and rich culture.

The development is located along the Han River, between Tran Thi Ly and Dragon Bridge, providing residents with scenic river views. Sun Cosmo Residence spans across multiple plots, including high-rise condominiums, shop villas, and shophouses along the riverside. The development is divided into two phases, with the first phase comprising two towers, Panoma 1 and Panoma 2, and plans to develop a third plot in the next phase. The site is conveniently located along main roads such as An Hai Road and Tran Thi Ly Bridge, providing easy access to Da Nang International Airport and the beachfront, which are just a 9-minute and 5-minute drive away, respectively.

Sun Cosmo Residence

Sun Cosmo Residence is designed to provide residents with a comfortable living experience, with amenities such as a swimming pool, gym, children’s playground, garden, and community room located at level 3 and the middle floor of the tower. The tower’s rooftop boasts a viewing deck and sky garden, providing panoramic views of the city, the Han River, and the coast. The development’s architecture is inspired by the local culture and crafts of Da Nang, with design elements drawn from the Cam Ne traditional handcraft sedge mat-making village.

The tower’s façade takes the alternating horizontal and vertical lines of sedge weaving and scales it up through the frame grid, building a strong and coherent tower. Traditional sun shading is interspersed with the main grids, creating a beautiful architectural façade that emphasizes the sophistication of the design.

Sun Cosmo Residence

The design of Hoi An lanterns is also incorporated into the façade, further weaving cultural symbolism into the fabric of the development. Despite their differing massing, the design language stays consistent across the 2 plots, with Panoma 1 notably standing as a massing of 3 towers of staggered heights. The staggered heights of the massing create more communal spaces on the rooftops of each section and maximize views for residents in the building.

Sun Cosmo Residence is a modern development that draws inspiration from the traditional culture and crafts of Da Nang and offers a range of amenities that prioritize the comfort of its residents. With breathtaking views of the river and easy accessibility to nearby locations, Sun Cosmo Residence is an ideal place to call home for those seeking a luxurious living experience in Da Nang, Vietnam.
