In Gurugram’s rapidly evolving skyline, the Whiteland Westin Residences Experience Centre stands as the first architectural expression of a highly anticipated luxury development. Conceived as the gateway to a hospitality-led living experience, the building needed a facade that could communicate both innovation and refinement at first glance. To meet this vision, Metaguise developed MetaHive, a custom parametric facade system that transforms the exterior into a sculpted, three-dimensional surface. The elevation is composed of triangular planes set at varying angles, creating a dynamic and volumetric form.

The facade operates independently from the building’s primary structure. While the core remains a clean glass volume, MetaHive functions as a high-performance second skin, adding depth, character, and environmental control. It is made up of 3D aluminum panels, each shaped into a six-petaled geometry through advanced parametric modeling and precise fabrication.

Every panel is digitally mapped and uniquely formed to respond to the building’s geometry. Together, they create an interconnected, hive-like system where each component contributes to a cohesive visual rhythm.

Metaguise Creates a Responsive Skin That Shapes Light

Beyond its visual impact, MetaHive introduces a functional layer of intelligence through its responsive aperture design. Openings within the facade are not uniform. Instead, they are carefully calibrated using parametric scripts to respond to sunlight and interior requirements.

In areas that require higher natural illumination, the apertures expand to allow more light to enter. In contrast, zones needing privacy or reduced heat gain feature tighter openings, helping control glare and improve energy efficiency.

This responsiveness allows the building to subtly track the movement of the sun throughout the day. Light interacts with the faceted surfaces to create shifting shadows and gradients, giving the facade a sense of movement and depth.

As evening falls, the building takes on a completely different character. Integrated LED lighting activates the geometry, turning the structure into a glowing architectural lantern. Each opening is outlined with precise illumination, highlighting the triangular facets and revealing the depth of the facade against the night sky.

Behind this refined visual experience lies a highly controlled engineering process. Every MetaHive panel was digitally scripted, fabricated, and installed with millimeter-level precision by Metaguise.

As Anuj Raheja, Founder of Metaguise, explains, “The MetaHive facade shows what happens when precision engineering, innovative design, and flawless execution come together. Bringing this complex skin to life is one of the biggest milestones in parametric design in the country.”

The result is more than just a facade. It is an architectural prelude to the Whiteland Westin Residences, demonstrating how parametric design, material precision, and thoughtful detailing can shape a strong and lasting identity.
