The Trump Organization has announced plans to develop a 91-storey luxury hotel and residential tower on Queensland’s Gold Coast, which will rise to 335 meters (1,100 feet), positioning it as Australia’s tallest building if completed as designed.
According to coverage by BBC News and regional outlets including Gulf News and The Economic Times, the tower will combine high-end residential apartments with a branded luxury hotel. The project reflects the company’s continued focus on expanding its global portfolio of mixed-use developments that blend hospitality and private residences under the Trump brand.

Construction of the 91-storey Trump International Hotel & Tower, Gold Coast, is scheduled to begin in August, according to developer Altus Property Group. Once finished, the project will include 285 hotel rooms along with 272 luxury residential apartments, the Trump Organization has confirmed.
The proposed 91-storey structure is expected to include a five-star hotel component featuring premium suites, serviced residences, restaurants, wellness facilities, and conference spaces. Alongside the hotel, the tower will offer luxury private apartments designed for high-net-worth buyers seeking waterfront and skyline views. Early project details indicate that the development will emphasize large-format residences, high ceilings, floor-to-ceiling glass, and resort-style amenities such as pools, spa facilities, and private lounges.

As with major high-rise developments in Australia, environmental impact studies, infrastructure planning, and community consultations are expected to form part of the approval process.
In public statements, representatives of the Trump Organization said the development aligns with strong demand for premium branded residences in key international markets. The Gold Coast has experienced sustained growth in luxury property sales, supported by domestic buyers, foreign investors, and post-pandemic migration trends within Australia.
If completed as proposed, the 91-storey development would become Australia’s tallest tower and rank among the most significant branded property projects in the country in recent years, adding a prominent new landmark to the Gold Coast skyline and marking the Trump Organization’s formal entry into the Australian property market.
