At CES 2026 in Las Vegas, musician-entrepreneur Will.i.am unveiled the micromobility Trinity electric vehicle, an AI-powered three-wheeler that he describes as a “brain on wheels.” This futuristic single-passenger EV combines cutting-edge artificial intelligence, high-performance electric propulsion, and sleek design to redefine how individuals interact with personal urban transportation, making it a conversational, intelligent companion.

The Trinity is an AI system built on NVIDIA’s DGX Spark platform, designed to act as an everyday virtual assistant that “understands your goals” and manages everyday tasks while you travel. Unlike autonomous vehicles that drive themselves, Trinity remains driver-focused.  The artificial agent handles digital life support such as calendars, errands, communications, and even playlist remixing through natural language conversation, allowing the driver to stay immersed in the ride.

Design & Technology

Trinity’s distinct three-wheeled layout features two powered rear wheels and a self-tilting system, creating a dynamic balance reminiscent of bikes and leaning vehicles. This innovative tilting system, informed by technologies similar to the Carver Cruiser and Mercedes-Benz F400 Carving, enhances stability and responsiveness at speed.

Collaborations with DEKA Research and Development (founded by Segway inventor Dean Kamen) provided the self-balancing engineering, while West Coast Customs handled the design, resulting in a compact, stylish vehicle that feels equal parts tech demonstrator and lifestyle product.

Performance & Specs

Trinity’s technical aspirations are:

  • Form factor: Self‑balancing, single‑passenger 3‑wheel EV
  • Performance: 0–60 mph in under 2 seconds; top speed engineered to 120 mph
  • Range: About 150 miles all‑electric
  • Dynamics: DEKA self‑balancing technology for bike‑like agility with car‑like stability
  • Experience: Weatherproof cabin, climate control, luxury interior, and studio-grade Audio
  • Agentic Sound: Integrated SoundDrive, FYI RAiDiO for an AI‑tuned audio experience
  • Agentic Vision gives TRINITY artificial self‑awareness, allowing it to interpret and reason about the world it sees
  • Agentic OS: the agent allows for Apps to talk to Apps (Spotify with Calendar, and Email with Maps simultaneously)

Trinity’s compact footprint suits urban environments, offering a nimble alternative to larger EVs while integrating digital intelligence and safety awareness.

Manufacturing, Launch & Price

TRINITY will launch via a Kickstarter campaign in January 2026, positioning the platform as a strategic entry point. Designed as a high-design, urban-first vehicle, TRINITY is planned as a limited-edition production run of 500 units, with first deliveries targeted for August 2027. The Kickstarter campaign will function as a pre-order interest program, offering backers priority consideration for a potential future purchase, with pricing currently expected to remain below $30,000. Further details are set to be revealed on the Trinity Kickstarter pre-launch page later this month.

Commenting on the launch, Everette Taylor, CEO of Kickstarter, noted that the platform has increasingly become a community-driven launch space for emerging products. He highlighted that Kickstarter offers access to a global audience eager to engage early with new ideas, describing TRINITY as part of a growing lineage of category-defining technology projects that have chosen the platform as their public debut, alongside its recent unveiling with NVIDIA at CES.

Trinity AI-Driven Transportation

Trinity reflects will.i.am’s broader vision of integrating AI into daily life is an agentic collaborator. He plans to teach a course called “The Agentic Self” at Arizona State University, emphasizing the interaction between humans and intelligent systems.

By combining AI, design innovation, and high-performance EV technology, the Trinity aims to reimagine personal transport as an extension of ourselves, a smart, situational partner on every journey.
