Yapı Fuarı – Turkeybuild Istanbul 2025 is a prominent event that will take place from April 16-19, 2025, at the TÜYAP Fair and Congress Center, bringing together all components of the construction industry. The event will cover critical topics ranging from material innovation to financial sustainability, startup collaborations, and new-generation business models.
As Parametric Architecture, we will be hosting one day of this exciting event, focusing on the transformative role of parametric design in the construction industry. Our session, featuring seven distinguished speakers from various fields of architecture, design, and technology, will delve into how parametric design offers flexibility and precision in creating complex and dynamic forms, its advantages, and the immense potential it holds for the future of architecture and construction.

Hamid Hassanzadeh is a distinguished architect, entrepreneur, researcher, and speaker. Having earned his degree in architectural engineering in 2012, Hamid has since contributed to various architectural projects across multiple regions around the globe.
In early 2016, he founded the ParametricArchitecture platform, initially launching on Instagram. Today, ParametricArchitecture, often abbreviated as PA, stands as a globally renowned hub for parametric, computational design, and AI lovers, boasting over 20 million monthly interactions on the internet. Hamid endeavors to demystify the intricacies of the parametric, computational, and AI realms through compelling articles, interviews, workshops, podcasts, and conferences disseminated across various digital platforms.
Furthermore, he’s the visionary behind PAACADEMY, an educational entity under the aegis of PA, dedicated to propagating the concepts of computational architecture and design. The PAACADEMY, as an educational platform, educates and engages with its audience, introducing them to advanced techniques and algorithms employed by architects, designers, and coders alike. He highlights exemplary projects executed using state-of-the-art design software, ensuring that his audience not only witnesses but also comprehends the depth and philosophy of these avant-garde design practices.
Moreover, as the esteemed host of the ‘PA Talks’ interview series, he engages in enriching conversations with architects, orchestrates numerous workshops, conferences, and events, and has had the privilege of interviewing myriad globally acclaimed architects, delving into their methodologies and foresighted visions for the architectural landscape.
Guest Speakers:
Melike Altınışık
Award-winning architect Melike Altinisik will give a lecture at the opening of the Computational Design: NEXT 5.0 conference about her experiences, recent projects, and the integration of BIM and computational design with architecture and construction. She’s a designer and educator dedicated to developing an innovative approach toward architecture, urbanism, and design. Her work aims to develop the relational thinking capacities of architecture about design technologies.

Since 2006, she has developed her wide range of international professional architectural experience by working on large-scale projects, from high-rise buildings, masterplans, cultural centers, and museums to bespoke furniture designs. Her design work has received several prestigious design awards, including Europe 40 under 40, FEIDAD Design Award 07′, and Swiss Art Award. She participated in various national and international and invited architectural competitions, exhibitions, and publications. Her work includes prize-winning projects such as Istanbul TV and Radio Tower (Istanbul, Turkey, Under construction) and the Robot Science Museum (Seoul, South Korea). Before forming her practice in Istanbul, she worked in London as a Lead Architect with Zaha Hadid Architects (2006- 2013).
In addition to her professional architectural practice, she has been an invited critic, guest lecturer, speaker, and jury member at various institutions, such as AA (Architectural Association, London), SAC (Staedelschule of Architecture, Frankfurt), LAU (Lebanese American University, Beirut), ITU (Istanbul Technical University), and BU (Bilgi University, Istanbul). Melike Altinisik received a Master of Architecture and Urbanism from the Architectural Association Design Research Laboratory, AADRL (2006) in London and a Bachelor of Architecture from the Istanbul Technical University, ITU (2003) in Istanbul with High Honours.
Elif Erdine
Elif Erdine is an Architect and Director of the Emergent Technologies & Design Post-Graduate Programme at the Architectural Association. Elif will be presenting at the upcoming conference Computational Design: NEXT 10 conference. EmTech’s research program focuses on exploring new architectural and ecological synergies through the key convergence of computational design and fabrication.

Elif Erdine’s Ph.D. thesis, ‘ Generative Processes in Tower Design: Algorithms for the Integration of Tower Subsystems,’ was completed at the Architectural Association Ph.D. in Design Programme. She has been directing AA Visiting School programs (AA Istanbul VS, AA Summer DLAB) since 2010, focusing on generative design and the integration of algorithmic design processes with large-scale digital manufacturing equipment. Between 2006 and 2010, she worked with Zaha Hadid Architects.
Giuseppe Fallacara
Giuseppe Fallacara is an architect and professor who leads the New Fundamentals Research Group. The group includes Italian architects and academics that are linked with the Polytechnic of Bari’s Department of Civil Engineering and Architecture (DICAR) and they focus on the interaction between innovation and tradition in architecture. Giuseppe is also coordinating the “CESAR” (Cours de Enseignement Supérieur en Architecture et Restauration), the School of Specialization of the Polytechnic of Bari’s Higher Applied Training Course in Architecture and Restoration.

He is an expert in the field of Stereotomy and stone architecture, contributing to academic publications with numerous monographs and research articles on the subject and developing experimental lithic prototypes. He is a visiting professor at NYIT (New York Institute of Technology) and MISIS (National University of Science and Technology) in Moscow, among other institutions.
Manuel Jimenez Garcia
Manuel Jimenez García is the co-founder of the robotics manufacturing company Nagami. Design (3D printing) based in Spain and principal of madMdesign, a computational design practice based in London. His work has been exhibited worldwide in venues such as Centre Pompidou (Paris), Canada´s Design Museum (Toronto), Royal Academy of Arts (London), Zaha Hadid Design Gallery (London), Clerkenwell Design Week (London) and X Spanish Architectural Biennale (Madrid).
Alongside his practice, Manuel has lectured, taught, and attended juries internationally. He is currently a lecturer in Architecture at The Bartlett School of Architecture UCL (London). He is programme director of MSc Architectural Computation (AC), and co-founder of UCL Design Computation Lab. He runs Research Cluster 4 at the MArch Architectural Design (AD) and MArch Unit 19; in addition, he curates Plexus, a multidisciplinary lecture series based on computational design; he is also the director of the AA Visiting School Madrid. His academic research has been widely featured in publications and international conferences such as Fabricate, Ecaade, Aae, and Acadia. He was recently awarded the Best Emerging Research Award in Acadia 2016 Posthuman Frontiers.

Manuel holds a Masters in Architecture + Urbanism (AADRL) from the Architectural Association and a Masters in Design and Computer modeling from CICE New Technologies Professional School. He has worked as an architect for the offices of Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners, Minimaforms, and Amid(cero9), participating actively in multiple internationally recognized projects.
Ila Colombo
Ila is an award-winning AI collaborator, artist, and creative director with over a decade of experience in the avant-garde world of Design, Art, Architecture, and Technology. Her unique perspective combines spatial computing, 3D printing, design-art installations, and conceptual works, pushing the boundaries of design
innovation.
With a passion for sustainable practices and algorithmic and biomorphic design, Ila has made her mark at the leading design studio of British designer Ross Lovegrove. There, she offers design thinking, craft-tech development, and creative direction for projects related to commercial objects, speculative experimental works, AIiterations, brand partnerships, and international exhibitions.

Her current research on both the practical and philosophical impacts of generative AI within the creative industries involves multi-modal workflows, team training, student education, and ethical considerations. Ila co-founded DEOND, a Dubai-based multidisciplinary AI, R&D & 3DPA practice that merges human-centric creativity with advanced computation and digital fabrication.
Ila is a member of the RIBA and an appointed member of the Architecture Program Advisory Board at the American University in Dubai (AUD). She recently contributed to the landmark report on ‘AI for Creative Industries’ by the Dubai Future Foundation and Centre for the Fourth Industrial Revolution, highlighting fundamental principles, insights, and guidelines for the technology.
Harlen Miller
Harlen Miller is an Associate Design Director and practicing Senior Architect at UNStudio’s Amsterdam office and holds over 15 years of global experience with various firms and sub-consultancies. His technical specialty resides in project management and delivery, computational design, software workflows, innovative facade systems, complex geometry rationalization, and visualization, as well as HR recruitment and the professional training of next-gen designers entering the industry.

Creating detailed and compelling narrative concepts in collaboration with a diverse client base through the means of digital tooling has allowed him the unique opportunity to design bizarre and speculative typologies ranging from Architecture, Fashion, Masterplans, Transport and Product Design.
Jiri Uran Vitek
Jiří Uran Vítek /MArch Ing.arch.Ing PhD./ is an architect and researcher focusing on digital architecture, exploring the conceptual and ontological aspects of the field. He studied civil engineering and architecture at Brno University of Technology and later advanced his expertise at Die Angewandte in Vienna under Zaha Hadid’s & Hani Rashid studio.

Since 2017, he has taught at the Faculty of Architecture in Brno, leading a studio at the Institute of Experiment / Research Cluster URAN. His work spans academic and creative practice, where he investigates the interplay between rationality and intuition and innovative structural concepts. Currently, he serves as the Creative Director at Chybik Kristof Architects.
