This winter, Grand Palais in Paris invites locals and visitors to glide into holiday magic as it reopens the world’s largest indoor ice rink at Le Grand Palais des Glaces. From December 14, 2025, to January 7, 2026, the majestic space beneath Europe’s largest glass roof will transform into a festive winter village, a shining ice playground in the heart of Paris.
As always, the centerpiece is a sprawling 2,700 m² rink of real ice, making it the largest indoor skating surface in the world. But this year, organizers have added a spectacular new touch to the rink stands: a 1/10-scale replica of the Eiffel Tower, offering a uniquely Parisian spin. Skaters can glide around and even pose beside this iconic landmark under glass.

Day & Night: Two Very Different Vibes
By day, bright natural light streams through the Grand Palais’s glass nave, highlighting the elegant architecture while skaters slide peacefully over the smooth ice. It’s perfect for families, beginners, or anyone wanting a relaxed skating experience.
As evening falls, the atmosphere transforms. The rink turns into a lively ice dance floor with DJ sets, light shows, and a festive buzz. With disco lights under the glass roof and music filling the hall, it becomes a magical party on ice.

Around the rink, a charming winter village awaits. Visitors can warm up between laps with crêpes, waffles, hot chocolate, and other treats provided by pop-up food stalls. There are even indulgent winter specialties to match the festive mood.
The experience isn’t only for seasoned skaters; there’s a safe, dedicated area for children, allowing families to enjoy the ice without worry.
