The curator of the 19th International Architecture Exhibition, Carlo Ratti, and the president of La Biennale di Venezia, Pietrangelo Buttafuoco, announced the title and the theme of the 2025 Venice Architecture Biennale.
The Purple Hibiscus, a new artwork by Ibrahim Mahama, envelopes the iconic Barbican Center’s concrete walls. The distinctive work uses approximately 2,000 square meters of bespoke woven cloth to wrap the iconic gray walls of the Barbican.
Arturo Tedeschi, a computational designer interested in AI-powered design tools, created a concept image using Midjourney and Stable Diffusion.
